In early 2025, we launched a pilot garment repair service, supported by ReLondon's ReWear grant, funded by the UK Government via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
This project celebrated the beauty of mending, helping customers restore their favourite garments at the Give Your Best Shop in London: a handy one-stop shop for sustainable shopping and extending the lifespan of cherished clothes.
This pilot has now been paused for public repairs as we explore funding and partnership opportunities to make it a permanent fixture. Read more about the project below.

Got a much-loved garment in need of a little TLC?
In 2025 we launched Give Your Best: Repair, a clothes repair service co-developed with refugee seamstresses from our community. This pilot project operated from the Give Your Best Shop, offering skilled repairs and creative mending to help extend the life of cherished garments.
Our head seamstress Kemi provided a range of services including hemming, button and zipper replacements, invisible mending, and creative transformations that turned tears into design statements through visible patching or embroidery.
This pilot has now concluded and was incredibly successful, demonstrating both the vital skills within our community and the demand for accessible repair services. We're currently exploring funding opportunities and partnership models to make Give Your Best: Repair a permanent fixture, ensuring more garments can be rescued and more seamstresses can share their expertise.
